Which quote is actually cheaper, what would have to be true, and what a slipped date is worth
Four questions an ERP calculator cannot ask. Which quote is cheaper: a perpetual licence and a subscription are not comparable documents until both are a discounted cash flow over the same horizon, and normalising them moves the crossover year by a full year in the worked example. What would have to be true: instead of estimating a benefit nobody can verify, solve for the benefit the price requires, which is arithmetic on the vendor's own number and cannot be argued with. What to negotiate: every assumption ranked by what it actually moves, because most business cases are argued in exactly the reverse order. And what a slipped date costs, which is routinely two or three times the answer people give, because the team keeps billing and the vendor's clock keeps running.
Every table is computed from the same modules behind the calculators on ERPfm, so nothing in the pack can disagree with the site. No market figures appear anywhere: no benchmark licence prices, no industry implementation multiples, no typical benefit percentages. Every number is either copied off your own quotes or is arithmetic on figures you supply. No currency symbol is used, because the arithmetic is identical in all of them.
What’s inside
Two quotes are not two numbers — and the third figure that is in neither of them
The same quotes, normalised to one discounted basis
The year one overtakes the other: discounted against nominal
The annuity under the headline — where each quote's money really lives
What would have to be true: the benefit the price requires, across a range of hurdle rates
The walk-away price, as a ladder across a range of benefits
What to negotiate first — every assumption ranked by what it moves
What a month of slip costs, and the point where the case breaks
Your own numbers: the ten figures the pack runs on, as a sheet to fill in
The questions to put to the vendor, and why each one changes a number
Plus a second PDF, worked out for you
Run one of the free calculators first and buy from that page, and this sheet is computed from your own figures. Buy from here and the pack still arrives complete — the sheet simply has no numbers of yours to work from yet.
14-day refund, no questions asked. If the pack is not what you needed, email support@graburl.com and we refund you in full — you do not have to justify it or delete the file. Full policy.
